It is located within the borders of Karahöyük Village, about 25 km southeast of Merkez District in Adiyaman Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by S. Ezer in 2013. The mound has a steep cone with a height of about 30-40 m. It was registered by the museum. However, the registration process is not yet fulfilled. In the section caused by soil extraction, remains of mudbrick wall with stone foundation were determined. This wall is preserved up to 2 m. It is seen that the wall is white plastered. The red color of the mudbricks indicates that this remnant underwent a fire. In both section, at least three different building levels were determined. A large number of potsherds and a few human bones were recovered from the soil slipped through the section. These potsherds are dated to the 2nd and 3rd millennia BC. Painted wares found in the northwest section of the mound, on the other hand, should belong to the 4th millennium BC [Ezer et al. 2015:178-179].
