It is located in the west of the road heading to Turus Rock-Cut Tombs, in the west of Kuyulu (Turus) Village in Merkez District of Adiyaman Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by S. Ezer in 2013. The mound is at a distance of 2 km from Büyük Turus Höyügü (see Büyük Turus Höyügü). It is 1 km far from Turus Necropolis dated to Roman Period. It is quite flat in shape and it is about 10 m in height. A great number of flint cores and flakes were found in the southern slope of the mound. The majority of potsherds recovered from the surface are dated before the 4th century BC and the 4th century BC [Ezer et al. 2015:177]. |
