It is located in Kertil Village in Kaynarca District of Sakarya Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by M. Kartal and his team in 2013. It is named as Area no.1. Potsherds and pile of stones were found in the fields located at the entrance of Kertil Village. All of the potsherds belong to Middle Age. The flints are natural. However, the field (which is located opposite this area) on the left side of the road heading to Ugurlu Köyü yielded a bladelet and a flake that could be dated to Palaeolithic Age [Kartal et al. 2015:11]. |
