It is located in Dogubayazit District of Agri Province. It was discovered and studies by Özfirat and her team in 2002-2011. It is situated on the high hill opposite Bozkurt (see Bozkurt Kurgan Mezarligi). It locates to the other side of Aras-Caucasia passage. It has rectangular-like plan and measures 200x300 m. The entrance of the fortress is located to the northwest and it is 3 m in width. There is a citadel on the highest point in the northwest. This citadel is surrounded by a city wall and it measures about 50x40 m. The walls were built with coarse, undressed, large and flat stones. Their thickness is 2.50 m. The necropolis consisting of burial chambers is situated on the southern slopes of the fortress. Bozkurt and Hasanbey fortresses and their cemeteries are located quite close to each other. Therefore, they should be related. Hasanbey Fortress is dated to the late phase, Early IA II [Özfirat 2015].
