It is located about 500 m northeast of Acipinar Küçük Höyük in Ava Mevkii, 1.5 km south of Acipinar Village in Hafik District of Sivas Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Engin and his team in 2012. The mound is situated in the south section of a natural gypsum rock extending in the northwest-southeast direction. It is about 200 m in diameter and 20-25 m in height. It is one of the largest mounds located in the south of Kizilirmak Basin. The materials found on the surface are dated to EBA, IA, Hellenistic-Roman periods and Middle Age [Engin et al. 2014:47]. |
