The fortress entirely covers the south and east of the village. It was built on sand stone hill. It was founded on an area controlling the Silk Road heading to the Black Sea. Powdered bricks were used in the city walls of the fortress that has been severely damaged. The entrance door is located to the south of the fortress. The thickness of its city walls is 2 m. The front and back sections of the city wall were roughly smoothed and the middle section was built with small stones. The potsherds found in the fortress are dated to EBA and Middle Age [Üngör et al. 2014:65].
