It is located in Yaprakli Village in Fatsa District of Ordu Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by A. Erol in 2011. The rock shelters are situated on the northeastern skirts of Cingirt Kayasi, in an area called Inönü Mevkii. The stone tools recovered from these areas indicate that these rock shelters could be dated to the Palaeolithic Period. The settlement belonging to the Greek-Roman Period, on the other hand, was founded on the rock blocks on the upper section of Cingirt Kayasi [Erol 2013:183]. |
