It is located 1 km northeast of Susuz District of Kars Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Özgül and his team in 2011. The north, east and west sections of the defense wall can be prominently traced. The ones on the south section have been severely damaged. The south part of the fortress faces to the fertile lands. The north and east sections are encircled by high hills and the west faces the fertile lands as well. Ziyaret Suyu flows from the south part. The area in which the fortress was founded is quite rich in water sources. Ziyaret Suyu originates from the south of the fortress. It has a strategically significant position and overlooks the valley. The stones used in the defense wall are quite large and measure 100x60 cm in diameter. Larger stones were used as well. The fortress was reinforced by bastions. External surfaces of the stones used in defense wall were roughly dressed and it was built in cyclopean technique. The width of the defense wall is about 2 m. There are lots of architectural remains inside the fortress. Some parts of the defense wall are 6 m thick. There is a structure which might be a watchtower on the south of the fortress. It is suggested that the fortress belongs to EBA and IA [Özgül et al. 2013:283].
