It is located on the rocky area on the south Tasbulak Village, 16 km northwest of Kemah District of Erzincan Province. The fortress was discovered by Özgül and his team in 2003 and then it was revisited in 2011. It was visited by Üngör and his team in 2012 as well [Üngör et al. 2014]. It extends in the southeast-northwest. This rocky hill consists of two parts. The fortress was founded on the south part. The area was truncated and then the fortress was built on it. Traces of defense wall can be seen on the west section of the fortress. Since the south and east sections of the fortress are steep, it is quite safeguarded. The north section is more flat. To the east, very steep and high Yogurtcu Mountain is located. The fortress was built to control the valley extending on its south and north sections. It rises immediately on Euphrates River. It has a strategically significant location. It is suggested that it belongs to Urartian Period. Also, a cistern with a diameter of 70 cm and a depth of 90 cm was built on the rock on the south part. There is a rock grave on the south of the fortress. This rock grave is a typical Urartian Rock Grave [Özgül et al. 2013:282-83].
