It is located 3 km northwest of Igirbigir Village in Horasan District of Erzurum Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Özgül and his team in 2011. The entrance gate of the fortress is located to the north. Both of the fortresses were probably built in the same period in same technique. There are rooms and structures inside the fortress such in the upper fortress. It is oval shaped and extends in the north-south direction. The width of the visible remains of defense wall ranges from 2 m to 3 m. It is probably one of EBA fortress. A small number of potsherds collected from the surface show EBA and Middle IA characteristics. It is relatively smaller than Yukari Igirbigir Kalesi. Obsidians were also found inside the fortress. It is observed that the north and northeast skirts of Asagi Igirbigir Kalesi were used as acropolis. Traces of occupation were seen. The architectural structures are still visible [Özgül et al. 2013:280-81].
