It is located 1 km southeast of Gaban Kalesi (I), 2-2.5 km southwest of Çat Village of Erzurum Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Özgül and his team in 2011. It is smaller than Gaban Kalesi (I) and Tuzluca Creek flows from its southwest. The length of the fortress is 65 and the width is 14 m. remains of defense wall were seen on the east section of the fortress. The southwest section is surrounded with cliffs. It is thought that the fortress is dated back to EBA and potsherds belonging to Middle IA were discovered [Özgül et al. 2013:279]. |
