| It is located 500 m north of Gökçeseyh Village, 4 km southwest of Yavi Beldesi, 21 km west of Çat District of Erzurum Province. It is located 1827 m high. It was studied during the survey conducted by Özgül and his team in 2011. Tuzluca Creek flows from the north of the mound. It measures about 43x43 m. Based on the results of previous research and the artefacts that were exposed due to illicit excavations and brought to Erzurum Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography, it is suggested that it is a settlement dated to Urartian Period. It has a strategically significant position. The passageways in the area were controlled by the settlement. The area is rich in water sources and quite suitable for inhabitation. Potsherds exposed due to illicit excavations show that it was inhabited in BA and IA [Özgül et al. 2013:278]. |
