It is located 1750 m northwest of Selice (Dogdap) Mezrasi of Tepeköy in Varto District in Mus Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Biber-Çavusoglu in 2011. It is situated on the west edge of the hill in which Kaynarca Creek flows from its west and north skirts. Probably, it is accessible by a ramp located on the southeast section. The entrance of the castle is on the east part. The high and oval citadel is surrounded by a weak defense wall. There are foundation remains that give the impression of a room can be seen in the center of the citadel. Potsherds belonging to IA and Middle Age were encountered on the surface [Biber-Çavusoglu 2013:309]. |
