It is located on the east of Dolabas Village, 11 km south of Malazgirt District of Mus Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Biber-Çavusoglu in 2011. It measures 125 m in the east-west direction and 80 m in the north-south direction. It is an oval shaped mound with flat cone. There is a streambed on N-NW and village houses are located on its south section. No architectural remains were found on the mound. A great number of thick flagstones measuring 0.30x1.50x2.00 m which were exposed during illicit diggings were observed on the cone of the mound. It is assumed that these stones, some of which are ornamented with cross symbol, belong to Middle Age Armenian graves. As well as Middle Age sherds, IA sherds were found in high density on the surface [Biber Çavusoglu 2013:306]. |
