| It is located in Akbunlar, 1.5 km southeast of Dogantepe village in Akincilar District of Sivas Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Engin and his team in 2011. It is situated on a natural ridge and it lies in a valley extending on the north-south direction. Human skeleton remains were encountered in an illicit digging pit. The mound might have been used as a cemetery in late periods. The potsherds collected from the surface are dated to IA, Hellenistic - Roman periods and Middle Age [Engin et al. 2013:18]. |
