Remains of a small village have been found in the area which was used as field in ancient period; located on the plain covered with olive trees extending along the stream bed of Batmaz Dere in Milas Didtrict of Mugla Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Benoit in 2010. Potsherds found in large quantity around the buildings indicate a long period of occupation which lasts Hellenistic Period to Early Byzantine Period. A stamped amphora is among the earliest specimens of potsherds. The 3 lined stamp was printed into a rectangular shaped frame and it can not be read properly because it's placed at the turning point of the arm of the amphora. Based on the texture of the paste, it is understood that it is a Rhodes amphora. Among the latest specimens, there is a sherd of glazed Phocaean plate. Also, basalt mortar fragments and a net weight were found. A Lelegian-type structure which could be specified with its walls built with roughly shaped large blocks was discovered near the site, before arriving Alagün [Benoit 2012:344-345].
