This large mound was located by Alkım as his site Nr. 52. This large tell may have a small fort on top of its eastern end. When the "Amuq Valley Regional Projects Survey" team visited the site, a huge bulldozer cut sliced off its northeastern tip. The collection unit from the bulldozer cut, which is slightly below the modern grade of the surrounding fields, revealed a prehistoric component of neolithic, Ubaid and Late Local Chalcolithic at this site. The team also identified pottery from the EBA and Roman periods and found Islamic white ware as well. The mound is located along the modern road, which is the logical north-south through-route in this area of the valley. The road passes along the western foothills of the Amanus Mountains where they give way to the wider, flatter agricultural plain [Dodd et al. 2013.211].
