The site, located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. It is located near Surik Creek; 1.5 km southwest of Nervan Mound in Kavalli Village in Silopi District. It measures 215 m in N-S and 200 m in E-W. It is about 2 m in height. LBA and IA sherds were seen on the surface [Algaze et al. 2012:69]. |
