It is located on Mugla road, 1 km northwest of Kale District in Denizli Province. It appears in the Denizli Culture Inventory which was achieved after the surveys organized by the Denizli Province Culture and Tourism Directorship in 2011. The excavations have been carried out by B. Ersoy and his team since 2007. During the 2008 campaign, Late Geometric and Sub-geometric sherds in Black on Red and Bichrome technique dated between 8th and 7th centuries were recovered from the cistern trenches. Black on Red wares with decorations applied by black varnish on red background and Bichrome wares with geometric decorations applied by black varnish; which are dated to Geometric and Sub-geometric periods; were recovered from the excavations conducted in the Inner Fortress.
