It is located in Karaburna Beldesi in Hacibektas District of Nevsehir Province. It appears in the Nevsehir Culture Inventory which was achieved after the surveys organized by the NevsehirProvince Culture and Tourism Directorship in 2010.Potsherds and the inscription recovered from the fortress show that this area was inhabited in Hittite and Phrygian periods. The pithoi found on the skirts of the fortress are dated to Roman and Byzantine periods. It was visited during the survey conducted by A. Türker in 2013. In Türker's report, it was mentioned as Karaburna-Kalehöyük. Two tumuli were discovered on the ridge in the west of the fortress. There are pits caused damage on these tumuli. In the fortress, LBA, IA, Late Roman / Byzantine potsherds were found [Türker 2015:242].
