It is located in Çeç Tepe Mevkii in Göreme Beldesi in Merkez District of Nevsehir Province. The tumulus appears in the Nevsehir Culture Inventory which was achieved after the surveys organized by the NevsehirProvince Culture and Tourism Directorship in 2010.It was built with piled up stones. It is a very large tumulus situated on the plateau. It is about 50 m in diameter and 20 m in height. To the east, traces of stairs leading to the top and illicit digging pits on it were seen. Although it looks more like Nemrut Tumulus, it is thought that it is a Roman Tumulus which is densely seen on the region. |
