| It is located at the edge of Düzköy-Tozköy motorway; at the bank of Derbent Reservoir in Gelin Kayasi Mevkii in Düzköy Village in Bafra District of Samsun Province. The settlement appears in the Samsun Culture Inventory which was achieved after the surveys organized by the Samsun Special Provincial Administration Directorship of Development and Construction in 2009.It lies on a rocky hill. Some parts of it were submerged by waters of the dam. There are stairs carved into rock and a worked rock face which is thought to be worshipping area on the hill. Potsherds belonging to EBA, Hellenistic and Roman periods were recovered from the surface. |
