It is located 500 m southeast of Yatagan Termal Power Plant in Mugla Province. It was discovered during the survey within the vicinity of Stratonikeia conducted by Sögüt in 2010. The mound called "Asar" by locals has been heavily damaged due to levelling activities. Chalcolithic sherds and EBA sherds in high density were found in the fields in the north and the west sides of the mound. Among Late Chalcolithic sherds consist of black and burnished potter,a rim sherd belonging to a cheese pot is an outstanding piece. Potsherds belonging to EBA II were found in the field locates to the south of the mound and stretches 400 m. Large pithoi sherds scattered around and the wideness of this area suggest that this section was used as a graveyard of EBA settlement of Asar Mound. The remains belonging to Roman Period were seen on the mound as well [Sögüt 2012:408-409].
