It stands on a natural hill overlooking the valley of the Erfelek Stream on the Hasandere-Islekdere road; south of Sinop Province. It is to the southwest of Kurcali Village and northwest of Akçaçam Village. To the southeast flows the Gedik Stream and to the north the Erfelek Creek. It was discovered in 1987 during the Sinop Survey conducted by M.A. Isin. It consists of two hills measuring 70x40x10 m and 50x30x10 m respectively. Materials collected are dated to the EBA I. Also found are finds dating from the Late Chalcolithic Age. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
