It is located on the south of Akpinar Creek, about 200 m of southeast of Akpinar Village in Merkez District of Sivas Province. The settlement appears in the Sivas Culture Inventory which was achieved after the surveys organized by the Sivas Province Culture and Tourism Directorship between 2009 and 2012. The mound is 70 m in diameter and it lies down on a natural ridge which is formed with gypsum. This small sized mound is located on the south slope of the valley which extends in the east-west direction. The collected sherds from the surface indicate the existence of IA and Roman settlements.
