It is located in Bahçeburun Village in Milas District of Mugla Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Kizil in 2010. On the south slope of Çamköy Mevkii, the necropolis extends from the right neck to west and south. During the cleaning done in an illicit digging pit, one or two rows of stone walls were found. The dimensions of the grave were taken and it was found out that it belongs to Late Geometric Period. The two storied cist grave built by using truncated slate stones and dating to Hellenistic Period was an important discovery for Bahçeburun Necropolis as well as the grave typology of Caria [Kızıl 2012:427]. |
