It is placed in Gökseki Village, 33 km northeast of Refahiye District in Erzincan Province. It was discovered during the survey performed by Günasdi and his team in 2010. There are two castles called as Asagi Gökseki (Kalecik) and Yukarı Gökseki (Kale) 2 km far from the village. The distance between these castles is 500 m. These kinds of castles were built for strengthening the rampart. Yukarı Gökseki is bigger than the other one and a large occupation site are seen on the west of these castles. A second rampart which surrounds the occupational site can be traced in patches. A large number of tracks of architectural structures were found in the occupational site. Only a part of the rampart was remained intact. The pottery belonging to IA and Middle Age were found. It is believed that the castle was an important administrative center together with its all features [Günasdi 2012:50].
