It is located just south of Hurman Suyu in Elbistan District of Kahramanmaras Province. It was found during the survey performed by Konyar and his team in 2010. Among potsherds collected from the surface, samples of Early Transcaucasian dark-faced and orange slipped wares and EBA slipped wares have been seen. Numerous illicit digging pits seen on the mound show that there could be wall remains formed with unworked large stone blocks in about 5-7 m depth. These ruins and their location present that the related layer was surrounded by a rampart and a fortification wall [Koçak et al. 2012:37-39]. |
