| It is located on the summit of the hill; southeast of Ilicaoba Village in Gönen District of Balikesir Province. It was discovered during the survey performed by Yalçikli in 2010. In the vicinity of the rocky area which has been called "Kocatas" by local people, there are 8 large and small alcoves (cave or shelter types). In the caves which have been named "Kocatas 1" and "Kocatas 2", potsherds and stone tools dating to Neolithic and Middle Age were found [Yalçikli 2012:214]. |
