This site is in Bahçesaray Village of Sarayönü Suburb of Konya City. It is documented during the survey carried out by Bahar in 2009. Antique period mining activities are intense in this field which is between Sızma and Ladik. A fortress settlement and the walls and cistern structures used in Roman and Byzantium Periods on the hill in the West of the village is of particular interest. The South of the shoulder ends with a rift and architectural structures exist in the North of the shoulder. The pits with marks of mercury mine in the surrounds suggest activities related with mining [Bahar 2011: 304]. |
