| This site is documented by E. Akdeniz during the survey carried out in 2010 for the purpose of determining the source of a group of prehistoric artworks originated from Ballıca Suburb and is under the protection of Manisa Museum. The site is the picnic area in the forest 1.5 Ğ 2 km East of Ballıca Suburb which is 15 km West of city centre of Akhisar Suburb of Manisa City. It was understood that great numbers of jar burials are unearthed from this region. Based on the declaration of locals, it was concluded that the artworks that are under the protection of Manisa Museum are unearthed from Çamlık Locality as well as Kızıltaş Cemetery [Akdeniz 2011:86-87]. |
