The 55x60 m mound; measuring 8 m in height; lies east-southeast of Adiyaman; 3 km southwest of Dardagan village; 200 m east of the place where Kahta stream joins with Euphrates. Inundated by Atatürk Dam; the site was discovered during the Lower Euphrates Survey in 1977. A part of the mound was cut by Euphrates. Sherds of chaff-faced ware; dating to the Chalcolithic Age were found. In addition; sherds dating back to the Iron Age; Classical Period and post Classical Period; were collected from the surface. Griki Agni is one of the debatable sites for the Chalcolithic Age. The location code of the site is T 52 / 17. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
