It is located nearby the village of Erenler, north of Orhaneli District of Bursa. It is lies in a rocky outcrop called Kapikaya with a diameter about 1.5 km and adjacent to marble quarries to the south. Animal bones dated to Pleistocene and 3 stone artifacts dated to late phases of Middle Palaeolithic were found when the cave was discovered. One of them was a retouched bifacial scraper, the other was a simple side scraper and the last one was a leaf-shaped point. All of these finds were scattered on the floor caused by the damage of illicit diggings on a pit at the back of the cave. The chipped stone tools found in the cave reflect a Middle Palaeolithic tradition that is unfamiliar to Bursa and south Marmara region. This tradition probably belongs to the late phases of Mousterien, the end of Middle Palaeolithic. The finds have parallels with the tradition of Late Mousterien of East Europe and Balkans. This suggests that the finds could be dated between 100.000 and 50.000 years ago [Dinçer 2014a]. Most of the faunal finds at the cave belonged to goats (Capra). Also found bones belonged to cattle (Bos), deer (Dama?), rabbit (Lepus) and a kind of bird that its species was uncertain. Samples of goat and cattle bones were bigger than we know today [Dinçer 2010:6-8]. No traces of cutting or firing were encountered on the faunal remains of the cave. Therefore, it is possible to suggest that these finds were consumed by carnivores [Dinçer 2014a].
