It is situated 1 km south of Karakoyunlu Village of Tuzluca District in Igdir. It was discovered during a survey performed by A. Ceylan et al. in 2007. Its location is very important for the defense of the region. It is surrounded by valleys on all three sides. The fortress is in good control of this area. The presence of the double fortifications are observed. The walls were built using cyclopean technique. The architectural remains inside the fortress is observed. The fact that it is known as the second Karakoyunlu Fortress is a sign that the effects of the presence of Karakoyunlu hegemony reaches even up to present. It is a typical Iron Age fortress based on its structural properties [Ceylan 2009:138].
