The site; discovered during the surveys around Batman-Su conducted by G. Algaze; lies on the east bank of Batman-Su; west of Bayrakli village; in Biçakçi (Kerik) Village of Batman. The finds indicate a Late Chalcolithic Age settlement. Import obsidian tools; bevelled rim bowls typical of Uruk; and Batman Region locally produced Canaanite blades were recovered. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
