| Tilki Hill, located on Tokat-Erzincan motorway, within Yesilyayla Village borders of Susehri District of Sivas, is one of the most important hill settlements in the region. It was found during the survey performed by A. Engin in 2008. It is approximately at 80 m height from the motorway and on a limestone hill 200 m in diameter. The collected sherds belong to EBA, 2nd Millennium BC, Iron Age, Hellenistic-Roman periods and Medieval Age. The traces of stone foundations are observed on the west slope of the settlement. Traces of a water canal which was partially carved and supported by bricks in patches, are observed on the east slope of the settlement [Engin 2010:135-136]. |
