It was in the Munzur Suyu Valley; 11 km northwest of Çarsancak (Akpazar) District; southeast of Tunceli Province. It was located on the bank of the stream. It measured 10-15 m in height and 300x250 m in dimensions. The eastern and southern slopes were obscured by the modern village. Many pits resulting from damage could have been seen on the surface. It was submerged by the Munzur Stream extension of the Keban Dam. Finds of EBA I-II; MBA-LBA and Middle Age were collected during the surface collection carried out by R. Whallon. Exposure of a find dating from the Halaf Period is very interesting. It is accompanied by the samples of the Uruk Period. EBA IIIa is represented by a few material. Sherds of the simple plain ware and the Karaz ware of EBA were recovered. It is coded under N 55 / 1. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
