The obelisks rise approximately 2 km southwest of the Haci Danisment Village on the right side while entering to the Hacilar Village, north of Lalapasa from the new motorway of Hanliyenice-Küçünlü-Hacilar. It was discovered by R. Esin, and published by S.A. Kansu in 1969, and documented during the surveys conducted by M. Özdogan, and finally studied in detail by R. Erdogu within the context of his master thesis. Also defined as a cemetery consisting of large stones, the monument rises to the south of the Muhittin Baba Hill. It covers an area of 50x80 m, which has been destroyed due to cultivation. Presence of two dolmens is reported here. |
