Elaia is located on the northern shore of the Çandarli Gulf at the 27th km of the Bergama-Izmir motorway, 24 km southwest of the district center of Bergama at so called Kazikbaglari/ Zeytinbag. It is dated to the Archaic and Classical Periods. The mound is visited during the survey carried out in 2009 by Pirson [Pirson 2011:244-248].
