It lies 8 km north of the Yigincal (former Dumu) Village, 34 km northwest of the Dogubeyazit District in Agri. It is 2780 m high above the sea level. The reservoir has an elliptical plan, measuring around 40x50 m in dimensions, lying on a relatively plain ground on the southeastern skirt of the Mount Çingil. It is composed of rain and snow waters, and there is no spring in the vicinity. Therefore, there is a restricted amount of water in the reservoir. It appears that a channel was made for directing the rain and snow waters southwards. Dirt was conveyed to the reservoir area through this channel, but it was frequently cleaned, piling the dirt on the wall. The wall was erected with andesite blocks from the local andasite deposits. The joints of stones were slightly dressed. The wall thickness is ca. 1-1.5 m with a height around 1 m. It is very interesting that the reservoir at Dumu was only used to have met the water requirements of the livestock rather than irrigation of the cultivation areas like the other Urartian reservoirs. Although no precise dating is available, it is believed that the reservoir has been in use since the 2nd Millennium BC until the present day by societies with a valid economy for animal breeding.
