It lies about 600 m east of the Çatalca motorway; on the western bank of the Lake Büyük Çekmece; about 4 km northwest of Büyük Çekmece District; Istanbul Province. The settlement covers a fairly wide area. It was discovered by M. Özdogan. Pottery of the EBA; the Classical Period and the Middle Age was collected from the surface. Also found is pottery of the burnished ware in dark color dating from the first phase of EBA in Northwestern Anatolia. It is observed that there was a cultural cooperation between the shores of Northern Marmara and Northwestern Anatolia during that period.
