| The surveys conducted in the Çan District of Çanakkale revealed that this settlement had a long time span extending from the Middle Palaeolithic-Neolithic, Bronze Age and Late Classical Age till the Middle Age. The Late Classical Period settlement is rather like a watch tower and fortress used as a military station [Arslan 2004:122]. |
