It rests on a rocky ridge, which is 15 m high above the plain level, in the middle of a large plain extending between Yakaköy and Leylekköy. It measures 125 m in the north-south direction, and 300 m in the east-west direction. It lies 1 km southeast of Yakaköy, and 3 km southwest of Leylekköy. Ceramics from the Early Bronze Age, flintstone blades and fragement of a stone axe with shaft-hole were collected from the surface. Also found are sherds belonging to the Iron Age settlement [Özsait 1995b:485]. |
