| The site; located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. The survey's aim was to indicate the sites which were going to be inundated by the dams on Tigris. Chaff-tempered ceramics belonging to the Late Chalcolithic Age were collected from the surface. Potsherds belonging to Late Chalcolithic (Amuq F), EBA, IA and Hellenistic Period [Algaze et al. 2012:67]. |
