It is a very strong fortress settlement whose majority of the defence walls survived to the present day, resting on a steep hill on the western end of the Datça Peninsula. To the south is a very large spring water. The defense walls are dated to the 4th century BC based on the masonry. The surface finds include sherds of band decorated Archaic ware and small finds [Tuna 1985: 36-37]. |
