A group of obelisks so called Berberoglu Ayazmasi lies across the Muhittin Baba Hill, 5 km northeast of the Haci Danisment Village, about 15 km north of Lalapasa. Located to the west of the Istranca Mountains, the region is covered by oak forests and pine trees. As discovered by R. Erdogu in 2002, and studied in detail for master thesis, the Kirçesme Obelisks Complex consisting around 590 obelisks together with the Ottoman graves added has spreaded onto an area of 100x50 m in the north and south directions. There is a wide terrain between these two groups. The north has been preserved better. Various types of material including granite, quartzite, and marble are observed. Limited number of decorated stones are found [Erdogu 2003:fig. 2-4].
