It is located on a rocky area so called Berberini, 1.5 km northeast of the Kümbet Village, 82 km south of Eskisehir. 300 m to the southwest rests the Phrygian fortress, Kümbet Asar on a high rock plateau. The Monument of Berberini is a small façade type of Phrygian Rock Monuments. It was carved into the east façade of the Berberini Rocks. It was discovered by E. Brendenburg who conducted surveys in the region in 1901. Facing the east, it is 2.10 m high and 1.20 m wide with a height 1.35 above the ground. The surface of the rock was levelled, and enclosed by a natural protective frame following the façade's contours. It represents anterior façade of an gable roofed Phrygian temple in megaron plan carved into a rock. The eaves protrude outwardly. The acroterion consists of two mutual circular parts. The The pediment casings and roof's central pillar are thin. They are decorated with a series of lozenge patterns. The rectangular façade wall measures 1.40x1.15 m in dimensions. The niche representing a gate covers a great part of the façade, measuring in 1.40x0.80x0.14 m dimensions. The relief of Mother Goddess in the middle of the niche was destroyed during the Byzantine Period, and replaced by a large cross carved onto it. However, traces of high polo of the Mother Goddess relief reaching to the lintel of the gate are visible. A Paleo-Phrygian inscription is seen on the surface of the levelled rock above the roof of the monument. It reads from left to right, including a single line. It is ca. 1.70 m long; and the letter sizes vary from 0.13 m to 0.25 m.
