A grave chamber was found at the ridge joining the Asikhuseyin Fortress with the Upper Fortress, 6 km east of the Abbas Lake as the crow flies and approximately 13 km northeast of the Balik Lake in the Dogubayazit District of Agri. The grave chamber was built using a subsoil masonry. The side walls were erected with flagstones, and the upper walls with basalt blocks. The grave chamber with a dimension of 2.5x1.75 m has an irregular rectangular plan, side walls erected by corbelling technique. Sherds of grey, crested ware with inverted rim rising flatly collected from the surface bear the characteristics of the eastern section of the Eastern Anatolia. |
