It lies approximately 400-500 m north of the Upper Korhan reservoir, 36 km northeast of the Dogubeyazit District in Agri. It is 1950 m high above the sea level. The reservoir measures 95x47 m in dimensions with roughly elliptical plan. The waters were conveyed through a channel from the Upper Korhan reservoir, however it doesn't contain any water now because of a thick soil layer. For walls, rougly dressed andesite stones, which were supplied locally, were used. The floodgate is on the northern section, but it lost its original form. It was built to meet the water requirements for the agricultural activities in the wide terrains to the north, and it is dated to the 7th century BC just like the Upper Korhan reservoir.
