Sherds which were unearthed from a small city settlement identified on a 210 m high hill near the Asarlik Village to the southeast of the Menemen District are mainly from the Archaic Period, but also sherds of black glazed ware from the 4th century BC were uncovered at the site [Meriç 1986:199]. |
